CHILD TRAFFICKING : PRESIDENT TRUMP RENEWS HOPE TO FIND ALL THE 300,000 MISSING CHILDREN BEFORE THE U.N GENERAL ASSEMBLY

During an address to the United Nations General Assembly in New York City on September 23, 2025, President Donald J. Trump reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to addressing human trafficking and the exploitation of children across the United States.
He reported that the administration had successfully located and reunited over 30,000 children previously considered missing with their families. President Trump also noted challenges related to the health and identity of these children, including memory loss regarding their origins and identities.
Additionally, he highlighted the role of strengthened border controls in mitigating human trafficking and reducing fatalities associated with dangerous travel conditions. The President concluded by expressing his administration’s ongoing goal to locate the children still missing from the initial number of around 300,000.
